# Swap tokens

> Trade one token for another, including across networks, and understand slippage, fees, and price impact.

Swapping trades one token in your wallet for another. OnlyBulls compares quotes from several swap and bridge providers and uses the best one. Swaps can also move tokens **between networks**, for example from ETH on Ethereum to SOL on Solana.

**1. Tap Swap on the Wallet tab, or tap Trade → Swap**

**2. In Pay with, choose the token you're giving up and enter an amount**

Tap **Max** to use your full balance.

**3. In Receive, choose the token you want**

You can search by name, or paste a contract address.

**4. Check the quote details below**

Quotes refresh automatically.

**5. Review and confirm**

Tap **Review Swap**, check **You pay**, **You receive**, and **Minimum received**, then tap **Confirm Swap**.

You'll see **Swap complete!** when the tokens arrive. Swaps between networks can take a few minutes. A progress banner on the Wallet tab tracks them.

## Reading the quote

| Row | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Rate** | How much of the token you receive per token you pay. |
| **Network fee** | The blockchain's fee (gas). It's paid in the network's native token, such as ETH, SOL, or POL. |
| **Service fee** | The OnlyBulls fee for the swap, if any. |
| **Bridge cost** | For swaps between networks, the cost of moving funds across. |
| **Price impact** | How much your trade moves the price. It's higher for large trades or tokens that don't trade much. |
| **Minimum received** | The least you'll get after slippage. If the price moves further than this, the swap won't go through. |

Some network fees are covered for you. You'll see **Paid by OnlyBulls** where that applies.

## Slippage

Tap the gear icon on the Swap screen to open **Swap settings**. **Slippage tolerance** sets how far the price can move between your quote and the trade before the swap is cancelled.

* The default is **2%**. You can pick 0.5%, 1%, 2%, or 3%, or set a custom value.
* Above 3% you'll see a **High slippage** warning. A high setting makes failed swaps less likely, but you may get a worse price.

## Approvals

The first time you swap some tokens, the token needs your approval before it can be spent. The button then says **Review & Approve** or **Approve & Swap**. A few tokens need an existing approval reset first, so you may be asked to confirm up to three times.

## High price impact

* At **5% or more** price impact, or if the price can't be verified, you have to tick **I understand the risks of this swap** before you can continue.
* At **30% or more**, the swap is blocked. Try a smaller amount.

## Common swap errors

| Message | What to do |
| - | - |
| **Insufficient balance** | Enter a smaller amount. |
| **Add ETH for fees** (or SOL, POL, and so on) | You need some of the network's native token to pay the network fee. Tap the message to buy some or move some over. |
| **Price moved too much - try increasing slippage tolerance** | The price changed before your swap went through. Try again, or raise slippage a little. |
| **Insufficient liquidity** | There isn't enough trading for this pair or amount. Try a smaller amount or a different token. |
| **Minimum for this route: X** | Swaps between networks have minimum amounts. Increase the amount. |
| **Quote expired** | Get a fresh quote and review again. |
| **Swapping AULT is coming soon** | AULT can't be swapped yet. |
