# Find friends with contact sync

> Find people you know on OnlyBulls by syncing your phone's contacts, and what we do with that data.

Contact sync shows you which of your phone contacts already use OnlyBulls. It's available in the iOS and Android apps only.

## Turn it on

1. Open your profile and tap **Sync Contacts**. If you haven't synced yet, you can also tap **Add contacts** in the **Get started** card.
2. Tap **Allow access** and approve your phone's contacts permission prompt.
3. OnlyBulls looks for matches and shows how many of your contacts are on OnlyBulls.

After that, the app refreshes your matches each time you open it.

## What we use

* We read **only the email addresses** in your contacts. Names, phone numbers, and other details stay on your phone.
* Those email addresses are checked against OnlyBulls accounts. We keep only the matches, not your contacts' email addresses.

## Turn it off

To stop syncing, turn off OnlyBulls' access to your contacts in your phone's settings:

* **iPhone:** Settings → OnlyBulls → Contacts
* **Android:** Settings → Apps → OnlyBulls → Permissions → Contacts

## Troubleshooting

| You see | Try this |
| - | - |
| **Contacts access is off** | Tap **Open Settings** and allow contacts access for OnlyBulls. |
| **No matches yet** | None of your contacts' email addresses match an OnlyBulls account yet. We'll check again next time you open the app. |
| **Your last sync didn't finish.** | Tap **Retry**. |
